Another Health Update

I had another MRI in late June and the adenomas (benign tumors) on my liver have shrunk! So I definitely do not need any surgery at this time. I saw a liver specialist and a liver surgeon, both at USC. I saw the local GI doctor again as well, and my PCP. She put me on spironolactone in February and Metformin in April.
I have PCOS and don't have periods, which is why I was on birth control. Because of the adenomas, I can't take birth control, or any hormones. However, not having periods puts me at risk for endometrial cancer. The GI doctor wants me to get the non-hormonal IUD so I don't get pregnant. The liver specialist and the liver surgeon were barely okay with me taking progesterone every 6 months to have a period. My PCP gave me a prescription for progesterone and recommended an ablation. The OBGYN wants me to get the hormonal IUD, since it only acts locally, not systemically, though he said I could also get a hysterectomy, which would be extreme. He said he would call the GI doctor and then let me know what they decided on.
Welp, that was in August and he hasn't called me back. So I just started the progesterone pills: 1 pill a day for 10 days. I don't want to go so long without a period, since my last period was in late February, when I stopped birth control. And I don't want to worry about my period or lack thereof while on vacation.
If it's not one thing, it's another.
And even though I am on spiro, I have had some acne, which is now getting worse because of the progesterone.
